An interview with Cristopher Browning, Marketing Manager at Cloud Marketing
We sit down with Cristopher Browning, Marketing Manager at Cloud Marketing. Cloud Campaign helps you build a thriving marketing agency with AI-powered, brandable, scalable social media management software.
How did you end up at Cloud Campaign and what problem does Cloud Campaign solve for its clients?
I ended up at Cloud Campaign through a colleague I worked with previously at another company. As a company and SaaS platform, we provide affordable white-label social media management software purpose-built to help marketing agencies scale.
As the Content Marketing Manager, what are your main responsibilities at Cloud Campaign?
My main responsibilities as Content Marketing Manager include developing lead generation content and email funnels, SEO content strategy, copywriting, and optimization, video production, hosting online streaming events and interviews, and more!
To get a bit more technical, what are some of the acquisition channels that have worked well for Cloud Campaign and why do you think that is?
Paid advertising has been one of our most successful way to get in front of folks, but we've also seen growing success with our organic and social content because we are truly focused on helping agencies scale their social media marketing.
What role does your Marketing team play when it comes to organising, operating and improving your marketing-sales funnel?
It truly is a team effort across our departments to identify the appropriate hand-raise events and create content and systems that provide value to our audience while automating the sales process for our team.
At ColdFire, when we look at our clients' Marketing strategies, they vary greatly. Some have found a single, scalable client acquisition process while others thrive on a mix of top-of-funnel strategies. If you had to summarise the high-level LeadGenMarketing strategy of Cloud Campaign, what would it be?
While paid advertising played a significant part of our growth strategy, we are also focused on sustainable, efficient growth - particularly when it comes to marketing ad spend. We've found a very comfortable spot in that arena, which has given us room to focus on other strategies.
What is a Marketing technique that you've used at Cloud Campaign or at previous companies which you believe is underutilized at most Marketing teams - and why?
Instead of focusing on a specific tactic, we've built room to explore and experiment with new tactics, content, and techniques to excite, delight, and engage our audience. I would encourage all marketing teams to build and protect this experimental space to keep your campaigns fresh.
Marketing can happen using combined tools and methodologies. Which has worked better for Cloud Campaign and why do you think that is?
While we've leaned into one area more than others at times, a combined effort is a sound strategy for most brands - including Cloud Campaign.
Has your Marketing team experimented with some kind of cold outbound strategy (like cold email)? If yes what was the general outcome and if no, why not?
We've focused our efforts primarily on inbound and have found ourselves quite busy, but do work on some outbound opportunities that present themselves. Generally, our inbound machine is working so well that we haven't had to spend much time working outbound!
